Tributes to Chelsea

The whole KCPS staff would like to send their deepest sympathies to Danielle, Matthew, Jayden, Jordan and their extended family and friends on the passing of Chelsea. It is with heavy hearts that the school staff came to work today knowing that we had lost a bright and beautiful student who touched so many of us at the school.

Chelsea was a very special student and through her brave battle with illness always came to school with a big smile on her face and always ensured that she was a great big sister to her younger brothers when they were transitioning into the school program.  Chelsea will be greatly missed by all that knew her within the school community.

With heartfelt condolences,

Alan on behalf of the KCPS staff

I am glad to have had taught Chelsea. She is a very special girl and her cheeky smile will always be with me. I remember the first time I met Chelsea over Webex, we bonded over our love for the colour blue and Essendon. Chelsea was brave, strong and fought for what she believed in. She was truly caring and will always have a place in my heart. Although I have had an impact on her life, she has impacted mine.

H37 has made a tribute of lovely messages for Chelsea, as well as a photo with her monkey.

We loved your infectious smile, the way you loved and nurtured your cousins and friends.

You will be deeply missed by all. Give us all strength.

R.I.P Our Warrior Chelsea

Love you always Aunty Sonia, Uncle Paul, Ethan and Lucas Bentivoglio

Chelsea was in my class last year & is in the class across from my classroom this year. I remember that she was very kind and caring to others. I played with her often last year (2020) & she played by the rules and was very honest. She also did drawings and gave them to the sick bay which were put up on the wall. I would always see her drawings up on the wall. Continuing on with the topic of drawing, I would often draw with the others and with Chelsea.
Sometimes we would play a game with the markers. I can’t fully remember what the game was but all I know is that we get 3 markers and we have to draw a picture of a certain topic, I’m pretty sure that it was called the 3 marker challenge. She was mostly the judge of the pictures we drew.
Sorry to hear of her passing, she will be greatly missed by the whole KCPS community.

Aaron Thompson, H34

Dear Chelsea’s family,

We are so sorry to hear about your loss of Chelsea. Although, we were not in Chelsea’s year level, we would often see her around the school grounds. She was always such a happy girl and she was so kind to us whenever we got the chance to speak to her. Chelsea, although she had been through a lot, she was a bright student and her smile made everyone else want to smile. Our deepest condolences for your loss. We will be praying for you guys as you guys start a new chapter in your life with her watching over you guys.

When Chelsea walked into my Grade one classroom, she had a huge smile on her face and a cheeky laugh. She brought joy, happiness and a little bit of sass into my world. Although as a first year teacher I thought I knew it all, I was so so wrong. Chelsea taught me not only how much I would love the kids that sit in front of me each day, but how much my heart would break when they hurt. It may seem so silly to say thank you, but thank you for letting me be there for the highs and lows of that little 5 year old girls life and fight from then to now. I’m grateful to be a part of her life and your life. I learnt how strong she is and how much of a fighter. I learnt how tough she is, always smiling. I learnt how loved she is and how much love she gives. Thank you for letting me be there. I hope these photos bring a smile to your face. They are memories that I will never forget.

I want you to know that I am wrapping my arms around you with love and strength to say I am here for you, thank you for bringing your beautiful girl into the world so that I could have the pleasure of meeting, teaching and adoring her.

With love and hugs, Hannah.

Sending deepest condolences to Danielle, Matthew, Jayden and Jordan on the passing of precious Chelsea. Emerson is very fortunate to have known Chelsea as a classmate and friend. He will always remember going shopping at build-a-bear on behalf of Chelsea’s friends and Grade 1 classmates to make Chelsea a special Doctor Bear friend that it was hoped would bring her some comfort and strength during challenging times. Her bravery and courage are an inspiration. Emerson and our family hold heavy hearts in comprehending the loss of one so young and are thinking of you all at this very sad time.

Warmest regards, Emerson Perry and family

When a shy, nervous little Grade 3 walked into my classroom for the first time, I certainly was shocked by the bundle of contagious joy that she truly is.
Chelsea never ever failed to put a smile on my face, whether it be sharing a story about Chase, bonding over how frustrating little brothers can be or her dissing me for being a Geelong supporter.
When days at school were busy and stressful, I would often look around the room and catch a glimpse of Chels, poking her tongue out at me and I couldn’t help but laugh.
Chelsea is the true definition of a ray of sunshine. Although sometimes she burns you with her sassy lines, she never ever failed to brighten my day. Her strength inspires me and I count myself so lucky to have been a part of her life. I hold these moments so close to my heart. Shine bright, beautiful girl.

Love Cass

While I am struggling with emotions and expressing them, I can’t stop thinking you are too young.

I also think how lucky everyone who knew you was lucky to have known you.

You were so funny, always cheerful, great to be around and the strongest person I know.

Goodbye, Taylor.

Chelsea was a best friend of mine since prep. How caring and such a good friend she was is indescribable. You made everybody’s day no matter what you did, and you have a place in so many’s hearts. We all miss everything about Chelsea the funny friend she was.
